How Can We Charge £75 When Recruiters Charge Thousands?

It’s a fair question, and it deserves a straight answer. We’re a hiring platform, not a recruitment agency. There’s no human recruiter taking a percentage of your salary offer — just smart software that does the heavy lifting.

We built Recruit Rocket specifically for small businesses who need to hire well but can’t justify the fees that come with traditional recruitment. Most tools assume you have a HR department and a generous budget. You probably don’t — and you shouldn’t have to pay as though you do.

UK recruitment agencies typically charge 15–20% of a candidate’s first-year salary. On a £25,000 hire, that’s up to £5,000. Most hiring platforms charge £1,500–£2,500 per year in subscription fees, whether you’re hiring or not.

We charge £75 when you hire. And nothing when you’re not hiring.

(1) Recruitment consultant fee: Based on 15% of a £25,000 first-year salary hire — the UK industry standard rate (source: Recruitment & Employment Confederation, 2026).

(2) Applicant Tracking System (ATS) cost: Based on the average entry-level annual subscription across three leading UK platforms — Workable, Breezy HR, and Teamtailor (vendor pricing pages, 2026). This assumes you hire 3 times per year. Hiring 1–2 times per year would make the per-hire ATS cost significantly higher. Hiring 4 or more times per year reduces the per-hire cost, making it more competitive. However, an ATS subscription only becomes cheaper per hire than Recruit Rocket if you hire 19 or more people per year — the point at which the annual subscription cost divided by hires falls below £75.
