What is Recruit Rocket?
What can you help me with?
Recruit Rocket is an applicant tracking system (ATS) built specifically for small businesses — giving you the tools that larger companies have always had, without the complexity or cost.
It helps you manage the entire hiring process in one place. That means writing and publishing job descriptions, collecting and reviewing applications, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, and tracking where each applicant is in your process — all without juggling spreadsheets or email threads.
For small business owners hiring without a dedicated HR team, Recruit Rocket removes the admin so you can focus on finding the right person.

Pricing & Payments
How much does it cost?
£75 per hire. It’s a one flat fee that covers the entire hiring process — from role creation and candidate verification through to scheduling and communications.
What does the 'entire hiring process' involve?
Everything you need to hire well:
- A professionally written job description, reviewed and approved by you
- Recruiting best practice guidance built in
- AI-spam filtering and candidate verification
- Real Capability Scores for every applicant
- All candidates managed in one place
- Interview scheduling tools
- Automated candidate communications
Are there any subscriptions or monthly fees?
None. You only pay when you’re actively hiring. Use us when you need us, pause when you don’t. No lock-ins, no forgotten subscriptions.
What if I don't fill the role?
We stay with you until you do — at no extra cost. To be clear: this applies to roles where you’re actively trying to hire and haven’t yet found the right person. If you decide to permanently close the role or pause hiring, that’s entirely up to you. Once you’ve made a hire, that’s a wrap.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. £75 per hire is the full price. No recruiter percentages, no premium tiers.
The only optional extra is Job Board Blast (£99), which posts your role across major job boards on your behalf — but that’s entirely your choice and clearly listed before you commit.

The Hiring Process
How does the job posting work?
Our software writes the job description for you, based on the role details you provide. You then review and approve it before it goes live. You stay in control — we just do the heavy lifting.
How long does it take to hire?
That’s entirely up to you. We manage the process from start to finish, but you set the pace and timelines. There’s no artificial urgency built into the platform.
What kinds of roles can I hire for?
Any role. Recruit Rocket is designed to be flexible across industries and job types. If you’re a small business that’s hiring a new recruit, we can support you.
What happens to unsuccessful candidates?
Any candidate who showed promise can be saved to your talent pool for future roles. When you close a role, it’s stored on your account and can be reopened or edited if you hire for the same position again.
Can I hire freelancers through Recruit Rocket?
We’re focused on permanent and fixed-term employment for now. For freelance work, platforms like Upwork or Fiverr are great options.

Candidate Verification & Capability Scores
How do you filter out AI-generated applications?
After a candidate completes their details and uploads whichever documents you ask for, our system asks them to complete five short questions under timed conditions. These are designed with you in advance to measure role understanding and suitability.
We then analyse their suitability based on their performance and summarise it for you.
What is a Real Capability Score?
The candidate has now submitted their application, including the timed questions. Our system then evaluates their overall competence – taking into account all factors, including their CV and cover letter. We look for consistency, genuine understanding of the role, and the ability to think under pressure.
Each candidate is then given a Real Capability Score and a recommendation: Strong, Moderate, or Low fit.
Does the score make the decision for me?
No — and it shouldn’t. The Real Capability Score is a tool to help you prioritise, not a filter that removes candidates without your knowledge. You review everything and make the final call.

Your Account & Data
Do I need to create an account to get started?
Yes — creating a free account takes a few minutes and lets you set up your first role straight away.
Is Recruit Rocket only available in the UK?
No – anyone can use, from anywhere in the world. But, we’re a UK-based company and our initial focus is on UK employers. This means our platform adheres to GDPR and is focused on UK employment law.
If you’re based outside the UK, you’re welcome to use Recruit Rocket, but please ensure our processes align with your local employment and data protection regulations.
What happens to my data?
We take data privacy seriously and operate in line with GDPR. Candidate data is handled securely and only shared with you as the hiring employer.
Will you clog my inbox with endless emails once I join?
Ha! Not at all. We value privacy and don’t like it when it’s done to us.
As a Recruit Rocket member, you’ll receive our monthly business guide (Rocket Fuel) full of helpful and practical content aimed at small business success. It’s totally free and our way for thanking you for choosing us. You can opt out at any time.
